Mr. Mora -- I am enjoying your website and music very much. I also lead a big band in the L.A. area -- Mora's Modern Rhythmists -- but we play hot jazz and swing from the 1920s and 1930s, no latin music (other than a few rhumbas and tangos from the period). I came across your name on the nfo.net site, that's how I found you. Best wishes to your band, and who knows? Perhaps we can put together an all-Mora concert! Sincerely -- Dean Mora, Mora's Modern Rhythmists, www.morasmodern.com

John Rotter B/3/7 199th Jan 68 to Nan 69. Drafted, 11Bravo.
It was refreshing to hear your story about Vietnam and hear your music. I have a 26 year old son who has just recievied his BA degree from Humboldt State University. He is a pecussionist and loves the steel drums. The HSU steel drun ensemble will be making a brief tour of the LA region in mid November, approx the 19th. One stop is Long beach State. His name is Pablo Rotter and he plays tenor pans. I named him after Neruda, Casals and Picasso. I figured one of the names would stick. Sometime I think I should have named him Bob Marley. When I find out where and when his LA gigs are I'll let you know. Perhaps you will be performing somewhere and can meet or hear each other play. In the meantime your vietnam book is on the way, and I am anticipating reading it. In addition I have ordered your latest CD for Pablo. He plays with many Jazz groups in the area and I am sure that he would appreciate what you have to offer. With warm regards, John Rotter

I don't know what I like the most: Bertha's voice, your solos or the whole orquestra sound. Your arrangements are out of this world. My listeners are going to be listening to your album for weeks to come. Keep it up!
